I was wondering if your book on linear algebra would be advantaged using the more conventional numbering system

1.1.1 etc

this would be more useful for searching out a chapter

also more definitions and move some proofs to an appendix

more manual examples to be sure the student can see what a computer has to do to make it work

you have no idea how hard it was to develop a linear algebra library in c++. I had to validate all it the hard way to be sure the results were consistent. any every wants me to open source 3 years of hard work

I think both the members of this group, and even more the author of the book deserves to get better quality messages:
  1. Who do you wrote this letter to? To the author or to this group?
  2. Start your sentences with capital letter, end them with dot!
  3. "any every wants me " - use proper English!

I liked the author's choice of naming the sections. It is concise and still refers to the meaning. There is HTML version of the book too, in which the references to other sections are links eliminating the need for the reader to search.

I strongly disagree. Proofs are essential!
Every principle is pedantically defined by the book. What definitions do you miss?

I when read the book had no trouble at all feeling how much instruction a computer has to do for a computation. The algorithms in the book are detailed and understandable. The only thing perhaps missing is numerical stability of the algorithms, but this book is about math and not computer science.

The author of the book also put tremendous amount of time writing the book. And unlike your library, the result is the best linear algebra book ever and will remain for that for long time. Still he gave it to all of us for free.

There are already very good free linear algebra c++ libraries (Eigen for example). So
probably nobody needs your library.
