Reconversion feature can be used to type accents, emoji and symbols.

Here is the OSX implemention.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201586

but it confuses users.
because it sees from the point of 1byte character environment with console.

typing emoji and symbos means already an ime environment with window.
So it must be implemented with reconversion feature.

It would be nice to see fcitx show this candidate box.

If you enable compose, you may type things like <Compose key> =  c and produce €.

Thank you! It works cool!
I did not know the existence of quick phrase.
It is a great feature.

Originally, my thought was would be useful to reconvert the string committed already.
I do not like compose key either dead key.

Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WfqPA9rHiI

I think it is straightforward.
It looks like accented input on OSX.
Can it be implemented with quick phrase feature?

I am sorry I missed giving you some information.

Demo is implemented:
hanja input mode on fcitx-hangul

no coding, just adding mapping table of accented characters to mssymbol.txt.

I want to see my idea to be implemented.
It is just a proof of concept.

Accented input with Quick Phrase feature of Fcitx.

DEMO: https://youtu.be/AJ-m5u0yf-o

Welcome Candidate box!

It would be useful to reconvert commited quick phrase.

You could share it in wiki if you find it useful.

It is very much useful, especially for ime users.
Non ime users have dead key or compose key.
Ime users have reconversion key.
I prefer input with reconversion mechnism.

fcitx can return commit string with candidate box sucessively, instead of preedit string with quick pharase key once.
if users choose an candidate item, fcitx return delete signal in advance and after that, can return the item chosen.

I imagine europian characters being input with candidate box like fcitx-pinying does.
What do you think of?
