I installed the fcitx5-table-other on fedora to be able to type ipa characters. The package calls that input method ipa-x-sampa. However, it is a completely different input method that has the ipa characters but not in the x-sampa layout. I've been searching online on how to find the keyboard layout that fcitx has to be able to find the characters I want to type, but I can't find it anywhere. I also looked for other known alternative methods to type ipa characters to see if the one fcitx has is one of them, but I couldn't find a match. Can someone help me see the layout? Also, It would be a good idea to change the name since that input method is not x-sampa.
If this is not the right channel for my question, could you please direct me to the right one?
