This has to be well researched conference with Trade Unions from India and abroad participating.

The convention should refute the humbug self serving slogan - Govt. has no business to be in business. And the myth of private being more efficient. It must show how systematically the assets have been destroyed or transferred to the private sector. There should be good case studies with facts and figures.

This can be done if we have the determination. My life changed with fighting the BHEL SIEMENS umbrella collaboration and my belief has been recently validated with the Supreme Court order on Hindustan Zinc.

 Besides determination, we need funds to engage good researchers and organise the convention..

It would take about 6 to 8 months to research, plan and organize.

Let me adapt the quote of Nehru: " Public Sector (Freedom) is in peril; defend it with all your might"

The writing is on the wall. Shame on all of us if we do not act today.
