Hey guys,
I hope you are all doing well! Attached are the project updates for this week.
Also, please fill out this
doodle poll to pick a two hour time slot for the FCG strategic planning meeting. Saphira Baker, has been nice enough to invite us to her home (walking distance from UVA central grounds) for the final consulting class and to create FCG's strategic plan to provide us a road map for years to come. Light refreshments will be provided.
All FCG members are invited and encouraged to attend (even if you are not in the class) so we can have all your amazing ideas to create a sustainable strategic plan.
Lastly, I am so proud of all the work we have been able to accomplish this year. We always need to keep our sights on those in Charlottesville whose lives we hope to improve my aiding local non-profits. Last week, I heard on the news of a sudden closing of a mobile home park in Albermarle. Article found
here. Many of these residents will have a hard time finding housing by the time they will be forced to move this summer and many may end up homeless. FCG's work with Habitat for Humanity is helping avoid a similar situation in Charlottesville by helping to transition a mobile home park into permanent housing.
I just wanted to thank you guys for all the hard work you have put in this year and to let you guys know that you are really helping to make a difference in Charlottesville!
Have a great week!
Best,
Kelly
