In an effort to keep our citizens and Communities safer, the Aurora Police Department PAR unit offers free security surveys. We would be more than happy to come to your residence or place of business and suggest ways to make your property a less desirable target to criminals. Three Basic Rules

·         Stay alert.

·         Keep your mind on your surroundings, who's in front of you and who's behind you. Don't get distracted.

·         Walk purposefully, stand tall, and make eye contact with people around you.

·         TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS. If you feel uncomfortable in a situation, leave

There were over 114 traffic summonses issued by patrol in our area. Additional summonses by Motorcycle officers are not included.

Please continue to keep an eye out during daytime hours for suspicious people walking the neighborhoods, especially those about 16 years old) carrying backpacks (Juveniles). Also look out for people in construction vests walking the neighborhoods where you don’t see any type of “Official” vehic;les with markings on them.
