their resistance based on the direction of the current flow and stay
like it.

I haven't watched the 45min long video yet. From what I understand, I
suspect they will be used just like Flash memory in conventional
systems to start with but the various applications he talks about
(neural systems, fpga replacement, moving data closer to the
processing power) are intriguing and definitely on-topic here.

So chalk memristors up as technology to try and understand and integrate.
