Update: Interagency Listserv Changes

Dear friends and partners,

We are writing to share an update about this current email listserv and Google group. In an effort to streamline our communications and ensure messages are reaching the right audiences, this listserv will soon be decommissioned.

As we make this transition, we are exploring improved ways to support interagency communication among nonprofit, faith-based, and civic leaders who are working every day to serve our neighbors in Athens. Our goal is to create a more focused space for collaboration, information sharing, and partnership across organizations. As we reactivate specific Strategic Action Team meetings, those associated listservs may be restored, but you will be asked to opt in at that time.

If you would like to remain on the interagency listserv moving forward, please take a moment to opt in using this link here or below.

• Who should Opt-In: Nonprofit and civic staff and leaders serving Athens, as well as faith leaders serving Athens.

• Who should not Opt-In/will not be added: For-profit business owners, volunteers, or students.

We realize you may be on more than one of our listservs at this time and apologize in advance if you receive this message multiple times. You need only respond once.

You may have already completed this step and if you have: thank you! We know that several of you have already opted in (or out) through the April Interagency Meeting registration or the March Interagency sign-up form, and we appreciate you helping us keep our records up to date.

Thank you for your understanding as we make this change and work to improve how we stay connected as a community of partners. We are grateful for the work each of you does to support individuals and families across Athens.

Good morning! This is a reminder that we will be shifting our communication to a new Athens Interagency listserv and this one - along with a few others (apologies for the duplicate emails!) - will be decommissioned as of Tuesday, March 31, 2026. If you want to continue receiving communication about Athens Interagency work from FC-CIS of Athens, please be sure to opt-in to the new listserv here. If you have already done so, thank you!

Additionally, our April Interagency Meeting is coming up soon and we are asking you to register in advance for this event. We will be co-hosting this with Envision Athens on April 17th at the Athens-Clarke County Library Multipurpose Rooms A&B. The topic is Responding to Homelessness: A Navigation Tree. Hope to see you there!
