FBREADER is one of the best reader/lib programs out there. It needs one thing to really make it  complete. That is an autoscroll capability. For instance, a keymap to 'a' would start the scrolling, could just as well be a down arrow or whatever. To change speeds using arrow keys seems to be almost a universal standard.
Thanks for the great program.

Autoscroll is available - IIRC in Options -> Scrolling.

I think that's only available in FBreaderJ, if at all. Autoscrolling is
one of the *most* requested features, and so far the answer has
been...it would require a major rewrite of FBreader. FBreaderJ may be a
different story.

Thank you Andrew and Joseph for replying much appreciated. I will check out the Java version, I assume it is available at the FBreader website?
Andrew, I am sorry but I am afraid your answer went over my head. I do not see "IIRC" in Options. I am on a PC, a laptop to be specific. Am I being obtuse and missing something? Hate to admit it but I have no idea what llRC means. Can you enlighten me? Thanks a bunch.

Sorry, I am used to Baen's Bar and the common Internet
abbreviations/acronyms used. IIRC means If I Recall Correctly.

Ah ok. There are 'scrolling' options but I think they are just for mouse wheel and slide bar manual scrolling. At least just taking at face value. I do not see anything called 'autoscroll' for example. But thanks for trying to help.

I believe FBreaderJ is only for Google Android phones e.g. the G1. I
don't believe it works on a laptop.

FBreaderJ is available at http://www.fbreader.org/FBReaderJ/
