Recently I open my FBReader and found that problem. It looks that each
line of text is drew twice or so (see that screenshot -
http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/3801/frezza.6/0_50d96_39f9550c_XL.jpg).
Any idea how to fix it?

I use fbreader 0.10 under Fedora 11.

TIA

Hi,

Please check
1) font size (just press '+' to increase the size)
2) line spacing (Options Dialog->Format->Line Spacing), may be it is
too small?

Thanks for you replay, Nikolay. But It didn't help. I tried to
increase/decrease line spacing and font size but without luck :(

Could you please send me content of your "~/.FBReader" directory?

And by the way what UI do you use? gtk? qt? qt4?

I use Qt4 I guess. At least I just the latest stable KDE version.
Regarding the content of ~/.FBReader. I tried to remove it and use
stock but the result is the same. I guess that it's something else.
But I have no idea what.

Hmm, a strange question: what loacale do you use? Could you please try
to start FBReader from the command line with C locale?

The local which I use id en_US.UTF-8. I tried to run fbreader with C
locale but the problem still exists.

Ok, looks like I need to try this on my own computer. :) Which
repository do you use to install fbreader?

Here is the yum info:

Name : fbreader
Arch : i586
Version : 0.10.7
Release : 1.fc11
Size : 4.6 M
Repo : installed
From repo : fedora
Summary : E-book reader
URL : http://www.fbreader.org/
License : GPLv2+

According to it from the official fedora repo.

Hmm,

I've finally installed Fedora Core 11 and the fbreader package,
however I don't see the problem.

Btw, on my system FBReader runs with gtk interface. Could you please
run FBReader from command line? It should write something like
"Loadinng zlui-gtk interface" (or, e.g., zlui-qt4).

Another idea is to check what desktop environment you use. Gnome, KDE?
As far as I understand Gnome is installed on my system. I'll try to
change it to KDE.

It loads /usr/lib/zlibrary/ui/zlui-gtk.so. Also I tried the FBReader under GNOME and it worked fine. It's strange that it doesn't work under KDE because I used it under KDE a few monthes ago.

Hi All:

I am running Kubuntu which is a distro of Ubuntu with a KDE desktop on
one of my desktops and I run an Ubuntu distro on my OLPC.

I do not have any problems with FBReader on either of these computers.

It may be I just have not run into the bug you are talking about.

I am running 0.8.17 on Kubuntu.

Thanks

John
