Dear friend of the House of VANyAH:

Always so many exciting events happening in the area at this time of year.  We hope you can fit in a stop at the House of VANyAH (HOV) Open House THIS SATURDAY, December 16th, just in time for Christmas!  See the attached flyer for full details.

I’ve been away for much of the year working in Nigeria, but was also lucky to visit South Africa and the environs again. 

Nigeria, as you know, is a nation with a vibrant mix of cultures.  I was fortunate to meet a few good artists, to visit some galleries in Abuja and Lagos, and to purchase both contemporary and traditional art. 

The wonderful talented women from KwaZulu Natal whose jewelry and other crafts are always stunning, thank you for your ongoing support.  The women at the Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland are incredibly capable glass blowers.

Chrystabel Dakin-Davies from Decortege will join us with stunning textiles: pillow covers, wall hangings, bedspreads!  Come see her!

Join us -- a brief stop-in or come keep company THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON -- from 2 to 8 pm.  There’ll be beautiful art and creative crafts, good fellowship, snacks, and enjoyable music.  Our Christmas show this year will be particularly spectacular!
