I hope this meets you well and in good spirits. My sister, Amelia Broderick, and I are pulling off a twin-event on Friday, September 6 from 6 to 10 pm at The Sir Galahad Retreat, 17513 Sir Galahad Way, Ashton, MD 20861:
  • Dr. Nemata Blyden, Associate Professor of History and International Affairs at George Washington University, will do a presentation and book-signing of her new work, "African Americans and Africa", published by Yale University Press. This will be followed by the US premiere screening of "The History of Africa", a new UNESCO documentary film narrated by the BBC's Zeinab Badawi. 
    UNESCO's Dr. Abdul Rahman Lamin will share highlights of the UNESCO project, the plans to incorporate materials into school curricula across the continent, and to use popular media to communicate the information.    
A Buffet Dinner is included in the Evening for a $25 cover price. We have only limited seating available so before COB this Monday, August 26, for those planning to attend kindly RSVP with your payment preference from one of the following options:
