Greetings,
You may have heard from social media reports of the passing of my mother, Rev M. Alice Fitzjohn, three weeks ago. Since then another wonderful soul, John Bankole Jones, Esq. has also sadly transitioned.
To the memory of the talented and articulate John, a worthy item to obtain this Season for keepsake or to give as a gift are his memoirs, "A Mother's Dilemma: An English Mother. An African Father …" - a fascinating read (PLEASE SEE EMAIL IMMEDIATELY BELOW).
In addition, in honor of my mother, a portion of the proceeds from my sister's Christmas Open House TOMORROW will go to further Sierra Leone girls' education (KINDLY REVIEW OTHER EMAIL BELOW AND ATTACHMENT, AS WELL). My message here is a reminder, too, to the mass online advertising my sister has engaged in for her event - pardon the cross-posting.
Please patronize your own.
May the souls of the faithful departed, thru the mercy of God, rest in peace.
With you always,
Kwame

John Edward Bankole Jones was born in England in 1936. He is a coloured man, born illegitimately to an English mother and an African father

His father collected him from the orphanage and took him to Sierra Leone to live with him and his family. He returned to England in 1960
to study law. While studying he worked in London as a freelance radio and TV journalist. He returned to Sierra Leone in the mid-sixties and worked in the foreign ministry as a career diplomat and later as a practising lawyer. He returned to England in 1988/89

He likes reading and listening to Jazz. He is married with four children.

Subject: House of VANyAH - Christmas Open House, Saturday December 22, 2018
Dear friend of the House of VANyAH:
We have scheduled a special Christmas Open House [THIS] Saturday, December 22 from noon to 6 pm in remembrance of my beloved mother Reverend Muriel Alice Ayodele Fitzjohn.
My mother taught me the important Life Lesson of Giving Back. I started the Gallery project to assist women of African descent to market their beautiful creative crafts and Fine Art. I will dedicate the December 22, 2018 show to the memory of my mother Alice, who joined the saints on November 29, 2018.
The first $500 of merchandise sold will go to projects that my mother appreciated in Freetown and here in Maryland.
We will have guest vendors, in addition to the wide variety of beautiful crafts recently purchased in Eswatini and South Africa.
I look forward to welcoming you. 17513 Sir Galahad Way, Ashton, MD 20861 (off New Hampshire Avenue between Ednor Road and Rte 108). See attached flyer for complete details. Please share with your friends and family.
