We hope this update finds each of you well and enjoying the cooler weather!! We are excited about the upcoming AWANA Family Day at Six Flags - Holiday in the Park on December 3 and appreciate all of the support we have received thus far from the AWANA Clubs.
We have sold a number of tickets and received lots of questions about the day. We still must sell many more tickets to reach our goal of 3000 - and we need you continued prayers and support in this area.
Below are updates and answers to many questions that we have received in the last few weeks:
1. Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.awanahot.org. The cost per ticket is slightly higher $21.50 (to cover service and postage costs). This may help with individuals who find it more convenient to order and pay on-line; or who wait to last minute to place their orders.
2. Deadline extended to Monday, November 28th. The deadline to purchase tickets has been extended to Monday, November 28th.
3. Place AWANA Family Day information in your church's Sunday bulletin, at work and other community venues. This event is open to everyone - even if they do not participate in AWANA or go to your church. We see this as a time of fellowship and outreach to our community-at-large. So, please place the basic information in your church bulletin, on bulletin boards at work (please seek approval first), at your other community outlets (like soccer teams, Girl/Boy Scouts, MOMs groups, etc.). If you are not able to coordinate this for your church or group, please list (or distribute) our names and phone numbers as the contacts - so you will not be bombarded with the coordination. Remember, tickets can be purchased on-line.
4. Win 10 free tickets to AWANA Family Day. The person or church/group who sells the most tickets (at least 50) by November 28th will receive 10 free tickets; the 2nd place person or group will receive 5 free tickets. The tickets could be a great gift for your pastor and his family or a big family who may not be able to afford tickets for everyone, etc.
5. Season Passes will not be honored during the AWANA Private Party.
6. Tickets should be in the mail tomorrow. The tickets (for orders/monies received as of November 16) will be mailed tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, but Six Flags is sending over the Point of Grace Tickets this morning - by 10am. You will receive an itinerary of the day with the tickets. Please send questions regarding paid ticket orders to us.
7. Here are the AWANA Family Day details and highlights (an itinerary with times of performances will be included in with tickets):
AWANA Family Day ? Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas ? Saturday, December 3, 2005 ? Private Party from 1:30pm – 3:30pm ? Stay and enjoy the park from 4pm – 10pm - including Point of Grace Concert ? $20.00 per person (includes parking - a savings of $9!!)
Entertainment line-up for the day: ? Kevin Thornton of Kevin Thornton Ministries (former member of rock band Color Me Badd, who found Christ and is now serving Him) will perform during AWANA Private Party ? In His Hands, a great young, local Christian Rock Band, will perform during AWANA Private Party ? Children’s choirs will carol throughout the park during the AWANA Private Party ? All the rides you can enjoy! (With just us there – there should be a very short wait in lines) ? After the private party, we can stay in the park for the public hours and continue to enjoy the attractions ? Point of Grace will be in concert that evening. Tickets are still available and at no extra charge for the first 3000 AWANA Private Party Tickets purchased.

We have attached the order form, which can be used as a flyer to remind your AWANA club about the event; it has all the pertinent information about the day and how to order tickets.
