S ~ Colossians 1:10 "...that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully
pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the
knowledge of God;"
O ~ This verse was part of Paul & Timothy's prayer for the
Colossians. They prayed that the new believers would grow in their
Christian maturity so that their walk before God would please Him; by
producing good works and increasing their knowledge of God.
A ~ Salvation is purely a gift from God. We do not have to do
anything to earn it. However, as Christians, we should dedicate our
lives to the living God - our Creator and Father of life - in order to
please Him. We please Him by being fruitful in everything we do and
by developing our knowledge in Him. God desires for us to know Him
intimately. The more time we spend with Him, the better we get to
know Him - and this pleases Him. And, the more we get to know God,
the more we want to live our life in a way that pleases Him.
P ~ "Dear Lord, thank You for Your gift of salvation. Thank You for
giving me life, Your love, and Your protection. I desire to live
every moment of every day in a way that will bring a smile to Your
face. Please forgive me when I slip. Thank You for Your
forgiveness. I desire to know You even more. I praise You and thank
You that You are too awesome and amazing for me to fully comprehend.
This keeps me digging to know You more. Please continue to reveal
Yourself to me in areas and in ways I've never known before. Thank
You for being my daddy God - may my life be worthy of You and may my
life be fully pleasing to You. In Your precious son, Jesus' Name I
pray - Amen.
