S. Acts 3:1-10
Ond day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of
prayer at three in the afternoon. Now a man crippled from birth was
being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put
every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw
Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked
straight at him as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" So the
man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I
give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking
him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet
and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk.
Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping and
praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit
begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled
with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
O. A crippled man asked Peter and John for money, but they instead
gave him something so much better, the use of his legs. They healed
him in the name of Jesus Christ. When the man realized he could walk,
he immediatly began walking and leaping and praising God. Everyone
who saw him recognized him as the beggar. They were filled with
wonder and amazement by what had happened to him.
A. I know exactly what this beggar man feels like. I too have been
asking God to change a particular area in my life. Instead of changing
the other area, he's beginning to change me, and WOW have I been so
amazed. All I have been doing is jumping and leaping, and praising
Him. When God does something amazing and life changing, how can you
help not jumping and leaping and praising God. As people look at my
life, will they be amazed at how God has changed me????
P. Father, Oh how I praise you for the changes you are making in me.
You are amazing! Father, I pray your Holy Spirit would continue to
work in my life. Help me to stay as close to you as possible. Enable
me to obey you completly. I pray that as you change me, others would
too be filled with wonder and amazement. Thank you for who you are,
and for knowing what is best for me!
In Jesus name, Amen
