Curious about solar energy? Ever wondered how a solar panel works?
Have a solar project and want to get advice from experts? Then this
workshop is for you!
Falls Brook Centre, in collaboration with Maine Solar Energy
Association, will be hosting a workshop on solar energy. Solar guru,
Dr. Richard Komp, with 50 years experience in solar energy research
and development, will be leading the workshop. He will be providing
participants with an understanding of the ins and outs of solar
energy.
Two hands-on components to the workshop include: constructing a 60
Watt solar panel and hooking it up to an off-grid system; and,
building a solar dehumidifier. These two projects will give
participants direct skills in developing solar electricity and solar
thermal applications.
If you have a solar project in mind, be sure to bring your questions
and ask the experts. This is your chance to get advice on how to make
your project a success.
This weekend workshop runs from 9-5 both Saturday and Sunday.
Registration fees are $75 for one day, or $120 for both. Seniors and
students save 50%. This fee includes delicious home cooked organic
lunches. Accommodations are available upon request. Space is limited,
so book your spot today!
