Curious about solar energy? Ever wondered how a solar panel works?
Have a solar project and want to get advice from experts? Then this
workshop is for you!
Falls Brook Centre, in collaboration with the Conservation Council of
New Brunswick, will be hosting a workshop on solar energy. Greg
LeBlanc, Renewable Energy Coordinator, will be leading the workshop.
He will be providing participants with an understanding of the ins and
outs of solar energy.
The workshop will include an overview of solar energy in its many
aspects – passive solar, solar hot air and hot water, and solar
photovoltaic (PV). As an educational opportunity to provide
participants with a greater understanding of how solar PV works, we
will also be constructing a 60 Watt solar panel. The activities will
give participants direct skills in researching and planning solar
electricity and solar thermal applications.
This weekend workshop runs from 10-5 both Saturday and Sunday.
Registration fees are $60 for one day, or $100 for both. Seniors and
students save 50%. Space is limited, so book your spot today!
The workshop will be held at the Conserver House - 180 St. John
street, Fredericton - just around the corner from the Farmers' Market.
