Are you are interested in growing your own

delicious, nutritious mushrooms?

 

Come out to the grow-your-own shiitake workshop at Falls Brook Centre

Alongside mushroom expert David Boyle, participants will learn about the basics of mushrooms and mushroom cultivation, tour through the FBC mushroom growing plot, and inoculate their own 2 foot mushroom log to take home, plus enjoy an organic home-cooked lunch!

There is a limited workshop size – please register in advance to book your spot!

Location: Falls Brook Centre (indoors and out – bring appropriate clothing)
Time: 10 am – 4 pm
Fee: $55 for adults, $10 for children

Registration includes a delicious home-cooked lunch!

For those interested in making more logs at home, Shiitake spawn and other supplies will be available for purchase.  Deadline for ordering Mushroom spawn: April 15

• Small bags (enough for 3 or 4 logs) cost $10 each
• Large bags (enough for about 20 logs) cost $25 each
• Grow-your-own shiitake kits may also be available for $25 each
