Hey folks, If anyone is interested in meeting and building contacts with other young activists in the Maritimes, here is an excellent opportunity: |
The NBEN Youth Action Group is a network of dedicated young activists ! in the maritimes. Our collective goal is to strengthen the you! th socia l/environmental movement by sharing ideas and resources, co-ordinating campaigns, and in general supporting and inspiring each other in as many ways as possible. |

We put this into practice by meeting every three weeks over the phone to update each other on what we're up to and ask questions and get advice. We also actively plan events/get-togethers/conferences and mobilize around local/current/urgent issues. This year, the YAG is putting together a strategy-building weekend conference for early winter (more details to follow), as well as coordinating days of action in highschools. We are also interested in doing some skill-sharing sessions. We're open to any suggestions, and would love to hear about what you're up to and find ways to work with you! The next YAG phone meeting will be this Thursday, December 7th, at 6.00 pm. If you're interested in getting involved, email me (em...@syc-cjs.org), and I'll send you some more details.
