Neighbors,
A resident on Eastman contacted me that there were some aggressive
solicitors canvasing their street - they wouldn't leave when asked and
were suspicious in nature and argumentative. I suggested calling the
non-emergency line for the sheriff. They did call and the sheriff's
office reported back that the solicitors were asked to leave. It is
difficult to prevent this sort of intrusion - even with a "No
Soliciting" sign up front or even on your door. However, if someone
is bothering you, a quick call to the sheriff's department at
813-247-8200 has proven effective. With recent car break-ins and
vandalism in the neighborhood it is important to be extra vigilant.
