Hi, Edward.

That error message can only occur when Klink's PC software cannot communicate with your phone.  There can only be a few reasons for this cause:

1) A firewall program on your PC getting in the way.  We've already gone over this earlier, so I think that you mentioned that you turned off your PC firewall in an earlier email.

2) An Android sync program like HTC Sync or Samsung Kies is getting in the way.  Even though you have a ZTE, do check for HTC Sync or Kies if you had ever used an HTC or Samsung smartphone.  Make sure that the sync program isn't running in the background, which is important because both HTC Sync and Kies start automatically when your computer boots up.  Otherwise, uninstall the sync program if you don't use it.

3) Another possibility is that your USB cable is unreliable, as a poor cable connection would cause unpredictable communication errors like what you're encountering.  This is also a possibility, since you mentioned earlier that you were having device detection problems, as a flaky cable would also lead to such issues.

If you have another USB cable handy or can borrow one from a friend (no need to buy one just yet!), give that a try to see if it makes a difference.

It might also help to clean the USB port on your phone with air or a dry brush.

4) Do try to experiment with the USB connection types on your phone, because it's possible that the ZTE might have some quirks.  More specifically:

- Plug phone into computer
- Pull down notification pane
- Tap on USB connection type
- Experiment with the types.

Also, try toggling off and on the USB debugging mode, which is located as follows:

- Go to phone settings
- Choose Developer options.  If you don't see Developer options, choose "About" phone, and tap on "Build number" seven times to activate the developer settings menu.
- Turn off and on USB debugging.

5) There is also a rare possibility that the ZTE has an incomplete adb (USB debugging) implementation that lacks the data forwarding feature used by Klink and similar programs.  I've never heard of this before; however, it is a possibility, since I've heard from one other user with a ZTE Savvy who had the same problem.

Does any of that help?  As always, I'll give you a refund if you'd prefer not to work through this.  If you'd like to go that route, forward me a copy of your receipt by direct email.
