Just purchased an LG L16C "Lucky" phone. Had been previously using the Klink application successfully on my LG L75C "Optimus Zip" after uploading a Universal ADB driver for LG. Attached the "Lucky" phone via USB and started the app on the phone. The application on the phone shows as "Klink has started", but no data is incoming or outgoing. The computer recognizes the device in the dialog box, but when I press "Start" there, a few seconds later I receive a "Device Negotiation Error".

Debugging is enabled

I have override user agent to Android (Mobile)

I have tried connecting via MTP, PTP, and Charge only- still no luck.

Firewall allows application and adb.exe.

USB cable works cause we can successfully tether another phone using same cable.

Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply.  Gmail wasn't notifying me of Google Groups messages for some reason.

Anyway, thanks for clearing up everything you've tried so far.  Based on your description, this sounds like a driver issue.  I can't find an exact driver for the L16C, however.

Could you try removing the universal LG driver that you installed previously to see if Klink's built-in generic driver will work?  You will probably be able to find an uninstaller for your universal driver under Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove programs section.

You could also try re-running Klink's Windows installer to let it install generic drivers again.

By the way, do you see any sort of "Internet/Ethernet" USB connectivity mode?  That has worked for other LG devices in the past.

I might also be able to find the right drivers for your phone if you can dig up the hardware id for your phone.  You can find this by going to the Windows device manager (search for "devmgmt.msc" from the Windows Start menu).  Then, right-click on the ADB interface for your phone.  Choose Properties.  Click on Details.  Finally, choose "Hardware IDs" under the Property list.

It'll look something like this screenshot:

The VID/PID numbers can be used to find the appropriate driver.  Feel free to email me a picture or screenshot directly (not the group).

Kevin
