FAVE-align Unknown phone ! (at position 1) in word !

Hello,

I've been having a problem with a file that I've been trying to align with FAVE-align, all of my other .txt files have been working perfectly, but for this one, after I've corrected any unknown dictionary words and entered 

"python FAAValign.py –i unknown.txt filename.wav filename.wav" 

into terminal, I get the error "Unknown phone ! (at position 1) in word !". I've gotten this error before, but in those cases it indicated a specific phone and word, and here it is blank. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
