Hi,

 

Sorry if this question may be silly, but does this Faucet SDN controller has any REST Api or any modality to change his configuration

remotely/locally? In this question I’m excluding the possibility to change faucet.yaml file.

Hi Cosmin,

The standard "API" for configuring faucet is updating its configuration file (faucet.yaml) and triggering a reload which will cause faucet to reconfigure itself.

If you want to add a REST API on top, we recommend building a third party tool (we call it an agent) which can dynamically maintain the faucet.yaml configuration file based on different data sources (database/REST API/etc).

Here are some examples of agents you can look at for inspiration:
