Dear FatSecret Team,
I hope you are doing well.
My name is Galina Akoury, and I am a final-year Computer Engineering student currently working on my Final Year Project (FYP) at university. My project, NutriTrack, is an academic, non-commercial AI-powered nutrition companion designed to help users generate healthier recipes based on available ingredients, dietary constraints, allergies, and health indicators.
As part of this project, I am using the FatSecret Platform API for recipe retrieval, and I am particularly interested in leveraging your natural language nutrition processing capabilities (ingredient-based nutrition analysis), which are essential for accurately computing nutrition facts from real-world ingredient descriptions.
Given that this project is strictly:
academic,
non-commercial,
time-limited (final defense scheduled before the end of July),
I wanted to kindly ask whether it would be possible to grant temporary academic access to the relevant nutrition analysis features of the FatSecret Platform (such as those available in Premier plans), for evaluation and research purposes only.
I would, of course:
fully respect FatSecret’s Terms of Service,
include proper attribution as required,
and use the platform exclusively for academic experimentation and demonstration.
If helpful, I would be happy to provide:
university verification,
project documentation,
or any additional details required.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
I truly appreciate the work FatSecret does in making high-quality nutrition data accessible to developers and researchers.
Kind regards,
Galina Akoury
