While it is possible for premier users to create a food entry for a specific user, is there a way to delete it? Without it one should be very careful with using API and even while testing it, I already filled my own profile with garbage. It also does not let you update the irrelevant information of a food entry. Looks like a must-have feature

Thanks for reaching out.
Can you please elaborate how you added a food?
Our API lets all our developers create and manage elaborate food diaries for their users while you can add and delete foods from a user's food diary as required (and as often as you need) - assuming you are hosting the food entries and diaries on your end - which is what 99.99% of our API developers are doing.

If you want to use the "Profiles" feature of our REST API via 3-legged-OAuth instead, which only a very small percentage of global developers are using, then you can use https://platform.fatsecret.com/docs/v1/food_entry.delete to delete an entry

While I am okay to host the list of added foods on my end, sometimes the data may change for an upcoming week for a piece of food and needs to be edited. An I still think food.create.v2 must have a delete feature because you may accidentally add hundreds of the same food, for example. Or you may want to clean up your own fat secret search bar if you stop eating at that place

It is not an entry in a diary, it is an entry that appears in search for a user (food.create.v2). I create that entries by using this API and then they appear in search bar. Now I am unable to delete them neither programmatically, not via app

My app is not a diary, it is a bot that parses a local menu and adds those foods to the user's search.

Thanks for following up and elaborating.
- There is currently no facility to edit or delete a food via the API
- If either of these are required, please reach out to our support team (while including the foodID in your message) and we can perform the required change for you
