Hello all,

My apologies for our “mix-up” last Friday, Simply Because called me on Saturday to apologise for their misinterpretation of our conversation.

I have re-created our conversation for all to note what transpired.

ME: "Hey Peru. Chucky here.
        Fatima & Friends vs Simply Because is on next Friday 2nd November up Dibe"


PERU: "Yes. Chucky are we arranging food and drinks ?
              Advise"

ME: "Hey Peru. Sorry for the late response.
        We wanted to have food etc for this Friday, however one of our members, Mathew,        has a carnival jour ouvert band and they are having a launch/promotion this Friday on the avenue. Because of this Fatima & Friends will be going to support him so we are liming there.
          Sorry about that.”

Anyways we are back on this Friday 9th vs After Dark, we will be playing at the St. James Infirmary so the game HAS to start by 5pm.

Yes Chucky, it definitely sounds like you cancelled the game in lieu of going support Mathew's venture, especially the late reply and the apology at the end. Peru should have confirmed this though before cancelling on his end.

Fool me once up Dibe, fool me twice up Dibe, yuh better schedule all d games outside...

I had some time on my hands and dissected your response a bit to see where the miscommunication happened:

ME: "Hey Peru. Sorry for the late response. (gives the impression that the game was at risk as you didn't care to respond in a timely manner..first red flag)
        We wanted to have food etc for this Friday, however one of our members, Mathew,        has a carnival jour ouvert (incorrect spelling further contributes to the perception that you didnt care about the game....reason now given i.e. Matthew party)

band and they are having a launch/promotion this Friday on the avenue. Because of this Fatima & Friends will be going to support him (definitely says no game as people know F&F rather lime than play football) so we are liming there (...instead of playing football...)
          Sorry about that. (but we not really sorry because we rather lime than play football)
