All,
The stove in the cafeteria died last week. They have had to change the
menu to compensate. Mrs. Lucy found a used stove for $4,500 and Father
Paddy declined her request to purchase it.

Would the Men's Club be interested in purchasing the new stove for the
Cafeteria?

Thanks,
Chris

If the resources are available, I vote yes assuming the used stove is
under warranty and/or has been inspected by a kitchen equipment tech.
If we are looking for something new instead, I may have a connection.

To All,
I think we should see how things shake out over the next week or two. The
problem may get worked out. Susie Bass has been out of town and will be
back tomorrow. Also, There maybe an allowance in the schools budget.

sounds good to me.
They priced a new one for $10k.

Also, everyone in the men's club has not subscribed to our google
group email lists. Please help me to get them all subscribed to our
group email list by directing them to the Fatima Falcons web site
under the mens club link. There is a email subscription button on
there.

I agree with Craig we need to see how this shakes out.  This kind of investment is rather large for an organization of our size.  This would represent about half of our savings.  We are already committed to changing out the busses fuel system (approx. $1,000)  and teacher appreciation dinner ($2,500).  This would leave a balance of about $1,400. Unless we are going to do some major fundraising we cannot really afford to do this at this time.

I have to agree with Lee. This is not a purchase the Men's Club should be
making. This is a school board issue. We are a support group for the
school but do not have the resources to come up with the money for such
purchases. This needs to go before the school board before anything else is
done. If they would like us to help with a fund raiser to help obtain the
money, that would be great.

Steven

Now that I know a little more about the issue, I agree with Steven. Does anyone know if there is a maintenance fund within the school to cover repair/replacements such as this?

Gentlemen,
I have talked with Craig Brown who is on the School Board and they do have funds normally for these type of repairs. He was not sure if they still have enough in the budget as they had to replace a number of windows earlier this year. Lets hold off and see how this all plays out. Financially I do not see how we can afford it without some kind of fundraiser like Steve recommended.
