Dear Geophysics Community
I am a PhD student with the
Department of Physics at the University of South Africa. I received 2D
seismic data from South African Petroleum Company (PetroSA). This
seismic data was sent t to me in SEGB and SEGD.rode format. The problem
we have; we need to have the data in segy format so that we can to
load, view and do the processing with the seismic unix (SU) software. I
have been struggling/battling for almost 6 months until to date to do
this. It has been extremely difficult to achieve this, since I am also
currently working as a Physics Lecturer for Vaal University of
Technology, Gauteng Province, South Africa.
However, we have been able to view the SEGB data with the
SegDSeeMp open source software, but we can save or convert/export the
SEGB data into
SEGY
format so that we can start with the processing using seismic unix.
Futher, it looks even more challenging to view the data in the RODE
format and load it into seismic unix as SEGY format .
I will really appreciate your help/usggestions in this regard, as these challenges really stalls progress with my PhD work.
Hope to hear from you soon
Kind regards
