Subject: Locations for Fat Girl Flea

Hey All,

As you know, some of us have begun work on the flea for this year and are really excited.  But we have hit a snag.  The center will not be available till late September, and we were hoping for July.

So we have set aside the next 2- 3 weeks to see if we can find another viable space for July.  And we need your help.

What we dont need are ideas (we have plenty of those and not enough people to follow up).  What we do need are for people to investigate places and let us know if they are worth our looking into to.  Ideally, you would call and get info, but at the minimum, we would need a name and contact number.

So what are our needs, you ask?

1) We are ideally looking for the weekends of either July 13-15 or July 21-23.

2) We would like to have the space for the following times: Friday from 4pm - 10pm, Saturday from 9am - 9pm, and Sunday from 10am - 5pm.  This includes set up and clean up time.
Note: if you found a place that we could get for Friday and Saturday only that was great, we might consider it.

3) Budget:  Last year we paid the center approximately $1700.  This included not only the space but chairs (60), tables (30), coat racks (10), partitions (2), and hangers.  Of course cheaper is better but we can probably afford similar this year.

4) We mainly need a large room: the center space is 2000 sq ft (but we also used the space outside).  We would need at least that much.

5) Location: we would prefer Manhattan.  If not, it would have to be easy to get to by public transporation.  It is not worth doing if we lose too many people because of location.

Thanks all,

Shira
