Yes, indeed, it HAS been quiet. I'll assume that will change in 2013 with the eventual (and finally!) release of a NEW Fates Warning record.

Anyhow, I didn't find much to like on the new (4th) OSI CD. It's not BAD, but just boring. Nothing really held my interest and there wasn't much in the way of a memorable melody or song to be found. I think they've probably painted themselves into a corner, but that could just be my displeasure speaking...

Ah well, there's always Fates Warning XI...

In the meantime, I've been cranking the new Kamelot (sounds surprisingly (or not!) like the "old" Kamelot), as well as Amaranthe (great melodic growlie modern metal/rock), Lacuna Coil (their BEST CD yet, I'd wager) and TesserecT. Still trying to get into the new Opeth as well... to no avail.. Probably 3-4 great songs, the rest... *snore*.
