Hi everyone,
please let me introduce to you: my name is Ethna, I am one of the few female hard/heavy
rock singers who work and perform in the Hungarian rock/metal scene. My bass
player friend is Balázs Szendőfi, his main project is called Mindflowers who
are an instrumental progressive metal band formed back in 2000. Their third
album called 3rd (:)) is soon to be released – the exact release
date depends on their promoter now. Szendőfi is the main songwriter, producer
and arranger in Mindflowers.
Back to the point: so these two friends happened to meet in April and found loads of stuff they both love – FW included – so we decided to record a cover of one of Fates Warning's songs off FWX, A Handful of Doubt for bass and vocals. The song came up when we were talking about how I lost my father to cancer some ten years ago, and that I had played this song at the funeral (together with Black Sabbath’s Electric Funeral, which was his last wish. :)). So I sat down and looked up some other songs, A Handful of Doubt was one I chose to be also played there.
We’d appreciate if you took time and watch the video on youtube.com, and let us know if you enjoyed our version.
