I have started to give some thought to the formats for Tavira. 7 is not a great number but we can manage. I anticipate two days of teams and two singles days with point scores recorded for all towards the trophy.

I dont think the Bloom/Wenham "winner draws players he hasn’t yet played with” plan would work well for so few players as some may be in a 3 ball every day or playing with the same people all the time.

I have consulted AI and come up with the best rotation to ensure every player gets a turn in the 3-ball and mixing who plays with whom so far as possible. It would be helpful if we know in advance who is A,B etc so I can prepare comp sheets, and to avoid endless enquires about which letter someone has drawn. I suggest we appoint the least dishonest Fatboy who is not going to do the draw. That is a problem in itself but my vote is for Steve, who is only medium dishonest and the only one anal enough to read an e-mail which does not concern him. Day 4 will be reverse leader board order (last 3 then top 4)

Steve, could I ask you to randomly draw A to G for me, Don, Phil H, Phil M, Colin, Pete and Stu out of a titfer and send a note round? Don will arrange your fee (good luck with that)...

I don't have a problem with that but stating the bleeding obvious its only making the courses shorter or longer. It will suit some more than others. Let’s look at the cards and have a vote when we get there. I think I’d be in the “for” camp.
