Project Background / History

Hi folks

This is a duplicate of a question I asked in the project's Github issue tracker (see #1183) but couldn't get any traction. I'm hoping to have more success here.

I'm writing an article about Fat Free CRM and am looking for some background on the project. The kinds of details I'm after are:

• What was the original motivation for Fat Free CRM?
• Where did the moniker "Fat Free" come from, and how does it guide the development of the project?
• Who is using FFCRM?
• Is anyone offering hosting or other services supporting the application?

Any information on the history of FFCRM or success stories from deployments in the wild would be hugely appreciated.
 
I asked a related question previously, albeit more focussed on where the project is going (see #1143). I'm still interested in what the future of FFCRM looks like, so any thoughts or information here would also be helpful.

Again, apologies for posting here. I realise this is just noise for most people, so if anyone wants to contact me directly and take it out of the dev forum that would be fine.
