Dear Laurent,
I am trying to run fastsimcoal2 on a 3 population system where two of them merge and then merge again with the other population. I have 3 2D-SFSs for each pair, and i want to estimate parameters based on these data.
I've already run analyses on two population systems involving isolation and migration, and everything went well.
However, for now, I'm having some trouble estimating my parameters.
I run the analysis with this command: .././fsc28 -t 3pop_div_migr_BN.tpl -n 1000 -d -e 3pop_div_migr_BN.est -M
What I can’t figure out is that fastsimcoal2 doesn’t seem to be estimating my parameters; it runs only once and therefore doesn’t estimate any likelihood (no .bestlikelihoods file is being output).
Also, sometimes (though not every times) the console displays the message “Error: deme 0 going extinct while still having remaining lineages,” which I suspect is the reason the parameters aren’t being estimated correctly...
I’m attaching the files to this message in case they might be helpful.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Cheers,
Zoé
