Dear all,
We are pleased to announce an upcoming online course titled Model-Based Demographic Inference from Population Genomic Data, scheduled for 20–24 July.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to evolutionary demographic inference using population genomic data, covering frequency-based and haplotype-based methods. It is designed for graduate students, postdocs, and researchers with a basic background in population genetics and some programming experience.
Course highlights include:
Core population genetics concepts and coalescent theory
Hands-on sessions using tools such as msprime, fastsimcoal27, PSMC, MSMC2, IMa3, and more
Practical topics including model testing, bootstrapping, and handling ancient or low-coverage DNA
