Good morning fastsimcoal users,
I have a quick question in regards to modelling growth rate with fastsimcoal2: is it possible to model linear (rather than exponential) growth rate? If yes, how?
Based on what I see in the manual, in the presence of growth rate, the effective population size of a given population at generation 't', is calculated as:
Nt = No * e^(rt)
(where Nt is the effective population size at generation 't', No is the current population size and r is the growth rate). So, it seems to me that fastsimcoal2 model growth rate strictly as exponential. Did I get this right?
Many thanks!
Best,
David
