Hi
My company instaled our software in USA. USA use paper size is "Legal 8 12 x 14 in."
But if you create report manual, per examplel;

          ::oPrn:StartManualBuild( {|| ::MyManualReport( ::nHeigth_Font  ) }, FR_LANDSCAPE,  , FR_CM )

You have one problem, because the printer have paper distinct a paper of FastReport , because i think use A4 is by default.

The solution to this problem is to move the paper type to the function;

#define  DMPAPER_LETTER       1   // Letter 8 12 x 11 in
#define  DMPAPER_LEGAL        5   // Legal 8 12 x 14 in
#define  DMPAPER_EXECUTIVE    7   // Executive 7 14 x 10 12 in
#define  DMPAPER_A4           9   // A4 210 x 297 mm

::nPaperSize := 5
::oPrn:StartManualBuild( {|| ::MyManualReport( ::nHeigth_Font  ) }, FR_LANDSCAPE, ::nPapersize , FR_CM )

Regards.

Rafa;

It feels good to see any posting on this forum.  Since Sergey is gone and so far not being able to reach his wife or anyone else near Sergey that might help us obtain his code, I worry that this wonderful product will die.  I really think that frh is the best tool available for harbour users.

Please do keep sharing your insights and frh tricks.

Thank you,

Reinaldo Crespo-Bazán

Reinaldo,
As I have understood the company discontinued the product FastReport. It will only run the VCL version and the version of. NET, which we use dies.

Regards.

Rafa,

What do you mean "The company discontinued the product FastReport"? if you mean the company is Sergeys company it is ok. but if you mean the company is Fast-Report, where did you read it?.

Thanks

In this forum , about company FastReport inc, https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/fastreport_for_x_harbour/b_qrd8t_Mo0 , you have this respond Bingen;

Good morning.

For now I haven't good news.

I tried to contact directly FastReports and they have not answered my emails.
I contacted to a distributor of the product that confirm now on will only versions for. NET and VCL, did not even know the modified version for (x) Harbour. This dealer is going to try to contact FastReport to see if they give some solution.
Also I have noticed that the version of FastReport OCX that could be an alternative to that, is not working properly with (x)Harbour and also fail to give support at the end of the current year.

I’m thinking that It doesn’t matter how elegant, clever, fast, or inexpensive your software is if your reports can’t compete with state of the art report engines widely available to other computer languages.   If we can’t extended the life of frh and can’t get a competitive replacement, then harbour is dying.  Am I correct?

Any thoughts?

I agree, but with the actual version  I have enough for next 3 years.

Any thoughts?
