Hi,

I've tried to run FastLZ on some embedded device that use Big Endian.
Compilation using GCC 2.93 passed without errors nor warnings but
compression gave strange results and compressed decompression of this
buffers fails.
Did anyone test this library on Big Endian platforms?
Maybe it’s an incapability with this really old compilator?

Regards,
Rafal

Hi,

I have tested once but I can not remember anymore which platform it was.
And yes, the gcc < 3 is not really helping as well.

Best regards,

Ariya

Ok, it’s not a matter anymore. I’ve checked that compressor works fine
on Big Endian platforms and with GCC 2.93.
Issue was an access to Flash memory. Copying into RAM buffer before
compression solves this problem.
BTW you can update your compatibility list by another processor:
Motorola MCORE210.
