If you are using the latest Cygwin's GNU make 3.81, you will notice
that compiling large modules
that generate huge Makefiles fail and result in a stack dump. The
issue is documented here:

https://projects.coin-or.org/BuildTools/wiki/current-issues

Basically, there are two solutions - downgrade to version 3.80 or
patch /cygdrive/c/cygwin/bin/make.exe
with a new one at:
http://www.cmake.org/files/cygwin/make.exe

Hi there

I am not sure which version of fastlib you are using. I am not part of the team anymore. I have developed this library instead http://www.ismion.com/#!paperboat/c1nfu

fastlib has graduated and become mlpack (you can find it at
http://mlpack.org). The installation and usage documentation can also
be found there.
