License Wizard Error

In December I obtained a trial license of the FastExcel addin. Today I decided to go ahead and purchase a full license of Profiler. Unfortunately I cannot apply it. I get the prompt to apply a new license code, but when I follow the dialog I get an "Unexpected Exit Code -2" error from the License Wizard.

I have tried uninstalling and restarting my computer and reinstalling. Perhaps, it still remembers that I once had the trial license even though I have uninstalled the addin, restarted, and reinstalled it and that is affecting the wizard.

I am attaching screenshots of the dialogs.

Please advise.

Hi Mike

Sorry to hear you are having a problem:

Something is blocking the License Wizard being called.

Did you unblock the downloaded Zip or the Installer? If not please retry installation after unblock.

The install folders should look like this and all the files should be unblocked.

Regards

Charles

Charles,

What do you mean by "unblock"?

I was able to apply the trial license code before and did not make any changes (e.g., "unblocking"). Is there a "remnant" somewhere that I need to delete (e.g., the Windows registry)?

Thanks for your help.

Mike

I think Charles means,  in your file manager, find the downloaded file, right-click on it, and on one of the Properties tabs, check [= click on so a tick appears] the Unblock checkbox.

This is not specific to Fast Excel, it is something that Windows sometimes requires you to do for a file (I think it mainly applies to executables).
