Carlos wants to know if he can change the order of the FastExcel Ribbon Tabs.

One advantage of having separate tabs is that you can make the ones you use infrequently disappear until you need them.

Yes but it is a bit fiddly.

You need to use the Excel Addin Manager (File->Options->Addins->Excel Addins->Go)

That gets you to here

If you uncheck an addin and then close and reopen Excel its tab will disappear (and it will not load when Excel opens) until you check it again.

So if you don’t want to use SpeedTools all the time just uncheck it

To reorder the addin tabs:

  1. Uncheck them all and close excel
  2. Restart Excel and check the one you want to appear LAST and close Excel
  3. Restart Excel and check the one you want to appear BEFORE last and close Excel
  4. Restart Excel and check the one you want to appear First.

Hi - that does not work for me. The Fast Excel ribbon tabs always come in the same order (profiler - manager - tools) and they come in between the standard excel "insert" and "page layout" tabs... any idea what could cause this and how I could move them around?

They are loaded after the Addins tab

The actual Ribbon XML looks like this for example
<tab id="fxlMgr4" label="FXL V4 Manager Pro" insertAfterMso="TabAddIns">

So you can use Options->Customise Ribbon to move the Addins tab to where you want the FastExcel tabs to be

The actual sequence of the 3 FastExcel tabs depends on the sequence of the OPEN keys in the registry. which is dependent on, among other things, the sequence that the 3 components are installed.
