Fast Copy Buffer size limit?

I just use the default fast copy settings. Was wondering if people have messed with the buffer size settings. Its 256MB I have 32 Gigs ecc ram. Could I set it say 8 gigs or where is the point of diminishing returns on buffer size.

Basically, you can't add more buffers to get faster.

Learn the basics of computer architecture.

For ultra-fast environments such as 10G and 40G that exceed 1GB / Sec per second, copy speed stability may make some sense.

I copy to a 10G 40G environment with an Areca RAID system,

It is enough to set about 1GB.
