failure to copy many Canon .cr2 files

.cr = Canon Raw file format. The number 2 is the first rev of the format.

I am copying several TBs of digital photos to a larger drive. I record both a jpg and a cr2 of each image. Fast copy has no problem with the jpg, but is failing to copy about a 1/3 of the .cr2 files.

Any ideas of what would be going on or how to fix it?

Sorry, this is the error msg of all of the files that were not copied. Does FC try multiple times before giving up?

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.1117
