Hello,

so I recently got a crash with FastCopy, what can I do to provide information / figure out why it happened.

Operation: Copy
Source: External HDD
Destination: Virtual Hard Drive managed by a different driver but using Window's Virtual Disk Service.
Nonstop, Diff(Size/Date), Autoslow

It is entirely possible that the crash's cause was due to the other driver, I just want to know which if/when it happens again.

Thanks!

Version: FastCopy 3.26
OS: Windows 7

Reproducing: The crash happened very late into the copying process as it was being artificially limited by the other driver.

Can you find fastcopy_excetion.log in the directory that can be opened by File -> FastCopydir in FastCopy Menu.

And can I tell me options (acl/altstream or etc)?

Yes there's a fastcopy_exception.log in there. Can I post it here or does it contain sensitive information?

No acl/alstream or any other option was specified/changed.

It doesn't contain sensitive information, but I recommend you to send me it as e-mail.
Because it is no meaning data for other people.

Thank you, I received your exception log.

But unfortunately, this exception seems that it didn't occur in FastCopy's routine.

Can you find some system error log in Event Viewer at 2016/12/30 02:07:19?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, it was immediately possible to see the cause of the crash. I've since uninstalled the program who's module was listed as the cause for the crash. (AquaSnap).

And thanks for providing such great assistance and thanks for such a wonderful tool. Happy new year!
