Spots for the In-Person Ride are Limited
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

Spring is in the air and it's time to make your plans.
Will you be Riding In Person or Cycling In Sync for the
14th Annual Ride?

RIDING WITH US IN OLD ORCHARD BEACH
As we continue to navigate the ever changing world that the pandemic has created, we have made the decision to limit our Ride in Old Orchard Beach to the first 1,000 cyclists.

Though we fully intend to make the experience as memorable as in years past, some changes will be necessary as we travel the road to a responsible restart.

Here's what you can expect:

  • A mask will be provided with your Ride Packet, to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines at the time of the ride
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available
  • Additional staggered starts will occur within each ride distance
  • Outside vendors, already versed in safety protocols, will provide post ride food
  • Showers will not be available
  • There will be no children's area with bounce houses
  • Sponsor Booths will be spread out in order to safely provide valuable information
  • Extra areas will be available to maintain social distance, both pre and post ride
  • If more adaptations are necessary, we will update on our website and via email

Most importantly, you can count on an incredible sense of comradery
as our Ride Family reunites in the fight for a cure!
CYCLING IN SYNC
In 2020 we expanded our virtual ride component, re-branding it "Cycling In Sync". Not only was it inspiring and incredibly successful but it introduced us to friends and families who could not have ridden with us otherwise. They have become an important part of our Ride Family and will continue to be an integral part of our Ride going forward.

Whether you joined us for the first time from afar or are a long-time rider who can't participate in Maine this year, we truly hope that you will stay the course in support of the cause that is so near and dear to all of our hearts.

  • There is no minimum fundraising requirement for virtual riders
  • All participants who register by July 15th will receive an official 2021 New England Parkinson's Ride t-shirt and mask
  • Registrations for Cycling In Sync will not be limited

It doesn't matter where you ride, it matters why you ride!

We know it is a very personal decision, as you consider whether to join us in Old Orchard Beach or ride virtually as part of Cycling In Sync, especially when none of us knows what September will look like. We can only assure you that we will do everything in our power to keep our cyclists and volunteers safe and expect that each of you will do your part, regardless of where you ride.

Today's Frequently Asked Question:

Q. How do I share my donation page on Facebook?

A. Simply copy and paste the URL that is created when you set up your fundraising page and drop it into your Facebook post. DO NOT allow Facebook to "create a fundraiser". If you do that, we have no way to credit the donations to you. See more details here.

If you have a question, the chances are good someone else did as well. Before you write or call, please read our FAQs.

I’m in fo shizzle for Maine!  Dave has probably already raised thousands of dollars, but I’m at least registered.

Also FYI, was cycling east on Plank Road in Penfield today about 3:30p and a cyclist and his bike was on the ground at the intersection of Plank and 5 Mile Line Roads.  Multiple emergency vehicles on the scene.  Unclear how it happened, although it appeared the cyclist was heading west and a car turned north in front of him and hit him, or he hit the vehicle.
