Hi All,
My sincere apologies for the late notice! I'm thrilled to invite you to the 42nd Annual Young People's Sacred Harp Singing this Saturday, August 30th! This is an all day singing as well as a Friday singing school and Sunday afternoon Christian Harmony singing to fill out the weekend. There will be dinner on the grounds on Saturday and we hope you can bring a dish to share with our fellows visiting from out of town!
Friday - 8/29 - 7:30pm - Singing School led by Sasha Hsuczyk
Silver Lake Community Church
2930 Hyperion Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90026
*this is a great place for newcomers interested in learning how to sing!
Saturday - 8/30 - 9:30am-4pm - Young People's Sacred Harp All Day Singing
Harmony Room at Saint Be, Eagle Rock
2109 Chickasaw Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90041
*there will be dinner on the grounds as well as an evening social.
Sunday - 8/31 - 1:30-4:30pm - Christian Harmony Singing
Orange Grove Friends Meeting House
520 E. Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104
Parking is quite limited to street parking, so beware.
As Covid is yet again on the rise, we ask that you please take a test at home before and help take care of our community by staying home if you are feeling any symptoms.
Please note, although the purpose of this singing is to encourage participation and leadership in the younger generations of singers and help continue this living tradition, this event is very much open to all ages!
