Hello everyone,

I am John Bealle, moderator of this list along with Will Fitzgerald.

It has been the practice on this list since its inception that lengthy,
repetitive discussions be cut off after positions have been clearly
staked out and the tone becomes contentious.

I think that I would like to pause the topic of 2025 Edition edited
songs. So at this point we will not be approving further posts on this
topic. The discussion has been deeply insightful and equips all of us in
pursuing these issues in other arenas. I am grateful to everyone for
their contributions.

It might be a good time for the moderators to hear from you, the
subscribers, on how you prefer that lengthy discussions be managed. You
may send private comments to the moderators at
fasola-discu...@googlegroups.com.

Thanks to everyone -
John

If you tried to send a note to us moderators, and it bounced to the address 'fasola-discu...@googlegroups.com', and would like to express an opinion, please feel free to send me a note at will.fi...@gmail.com and I will forward it to John Bealle as well. If you would like to know if I received a note and sent it on to John, feel free to write me directly as well.

I've been on something like a vacation, and so haven't been participating much, although I am trying to get approvals through quickly. Although I was especially hesitant to pause the discussion, given my involvement with the editing of the 2025 edition (but not on the Revision-Music committee) and because my opinions on the matter were aligned, more or less, with the majority view. But I'd like to note that I was in agreement with John when he paused the discussion.

Sing on!
