Some very interesting details about the origins of these recordings are on the Sacred Harp Friends FB group.

Why not post them here for those who are not on Facebook?

Warren, that's unfortunately not easy to do. The post on Facebook is by someone named Quon Willis and includes pictures of not only the acetate 78s for Rocky Road (2 pics) and Lawrenceburg you mentioned, but also pictures acetate 78s of Sardis (dated 11/13/54) and Praise God (dated 12/2/54), all on the Scott label by the same singers (E. T. Smith and Sons).

Here are the most relevant comments:

Amber Springfield Davis says (all in response to Quon):

Lois Livingston was my Granny. ET Smith was Toney Smith's dad. The records are ET (dad), Toney (son), and Vonnie (son).
Is there a way I can get a copy of them?

I don't know how familiar you are with Sacred Harp, but Toney Smith wrote 278t "Love Shall Never Die." The Smith's were from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Lois Livingston was from Steens, Mississippi.

I just talked to my momma, and she said my granny was holding her during those recordings. My momma was about 10 months old.

There are other comments, but these are the most relevant. I'll try to send you copies of the pictures in another message.

Warren, here are copies of the pics posted by Quon. I don't know if he has two copies of the ROCKY ROAD 78 or if he posted two pics of the same 78.
